Chiltern Green Energy Park

This is a new proposal for a merchant facility including a waste incinerator to burn refuse derived fuel (RDF) at Chiltern Green, New Mill End, Bedfordshire between Luton and Hertfordshire's western border.

Incinerator proposal for Waterbeach near to Cambridge

This is about the expanding waste treatment facilities to the north of the village of Waterbeach which is a few miles north-east of Cambridge.

In 2010 the waste management company AmeyCespa acquired the Donarbon company that operated a Mechanical Biological Treatment facility. The Dunarbon operation was based on a 28 year waste management PFI contract with Cambridgeshire County Council.

Until today, the situation with Veolia's proposal for a mass burn incinerator in Rattys Lane, Hoddesdon was that Herts CC had only approved the application for planning permission in principle. That was because the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (SoS MHCLG) had imposed a stop order against their actually granting that permission.
